All rights reserved.
Eric Bristow MBE was FIVE times world darts
champion and also known as the Crafty Cockney, He
died of a heart attack whilst at a darts event in
Liverpool and was aged just 60.
He as born in Hackney, South London, he was
ranked World No. 1 by the World Darts Federation a
record six times.
Quite rightly, Eric Bristow was awarded the MBE for
his services to sport in 1989. He retired from
competitive darts in 2007 and came on my show in
that year with Eric Malpas organising an event in
Benidorm. He worked as a commentator and pundit
on Sky Sports darts coverage.
He was a really nice guest to have on the show and
the podcast shows his great sense of humour.
