Ronnie Harwood
Johnny came to see Vince at Hits FM Benidorm 24th March 2009. They then phoned Ronnie
to chat about Johnny's new CD co-written with Tony Hiller
Ronnie joined me on the line from the UK to tell me about his
Christmas tracks and we remembered our mutual friend, Tony
Hiller, and Ronnie's great friend who sang his songs into the
UK Charts. I refer, of course, to Shakin Stevens. Ronnie has
Christmas Can't Be Far Away, Santa's on His Way and Over
the Top this Christmas.

Ronnie Harwood is  one of Britain's Rock 'n' Roll pioneers.
As a guitarist, singer and songwriter, Ronnie Harwood has
played a significant part in the history of British Pop and now
he continues to perform with a singing voice that is distinctive
and still much admired.

When Ronnie turned his talents to songwriting it led him to
an Ivor Novello award for 'You Drive Me Crazy', a huge hit for
Shakin' Stevens, and to the co-writing of Bill Haley's last
recorded single, 'God Bless Rock and Roll'.
Ronnie  sent me two really nice new songs and I felt I wanted
more people to hear them. We chatted on the telephone on
9th January 2017. The podcast is left and the songs are
linked below.
Our first chat 24th March 2009
