Ricky Tomlinson
Ricky Tomlinson has a new song on the way.....Here are the guys behind the project

Patrick Aherne brother of the actress Caroline Aherne, has had a varied career to say the least. As a
qualified pianist he was a member of several “New Wave” bands in the early eighties, before then
taking up being a DJ. However, his music kept calling him back and he started doing session work,
until he was asked to join Peter Hook from New Order in 'Hooky & The Boys' as keyboard player
for the “Mrs Merton Show”. Subsequently Patrick was appointed Musical Director and Band Leader
for the show. Patrick then went on to do radio presenting on several North West stations. Along with
Maurice, he wrote the tracks “Christmas My Ar*e!” and “Valentine’s My Ar*e!” for Ricky
Tomlinson which hit the airwaves In 2006/2007.

Maurice Cheetham
started life as a session drummer and percussionist, then moved into
composition and writing for children’s TV, theatre, and arranging/producing music for thousands of
TV and Radio jingles (including work for BBC TV/Radio, ITV, GMTV and hundreds of independent
stations in Britain and abroad). In 2005 he was involved in the Crazy Frog revolution, writing and
producing the chart hit for GUT records, and was in fact the voice of the frog on the song! Maurice’s
bizarrely eclectic career has seen him performing/writing and producing music for hundreds of varied
acts, from Ken Dodd, Russell Watson, Rick Waller, The Spinners and the Royal Philharmonic
Orchestra to jazz legend Kenny Baker and Matt Monroe. In the 80’s he was even a featured
Xylophone soloist on Radio 2!

He has recently orchestrated and conducted the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra for projects in Britain
and USA.
